A Regional group of dedicated, senior leaders in the NHS navigating significant change asked for our help in building trust and strengthening collaboration both with one another and across the business.
Our work with this client focused on honest conversations about their reality and creating a number of facilitated spaces where healthy challenge and meaningful partnership could flourish.
Goals
- Help team members understand themselves and each other more deeply
- Improve communication in support of a flexible collaborative working style
- Surface and align on a shared purpose, clarifying expectations, building trust and embedding mutual support as an enabler for change
- Make meetings more purposeful, inclusive, efficient and impactful
Approach
- Discovery interviews and leadership assessments – “The 5 Voices of a team” –surfacing patterns around communication, trust, and alignment. We attended live meetings and offered feedback on structure, dynamics, and meeting culture
- Designed and facilitated a one-day offsite to deepen trust, build mutual understanding, and agree shared working practices
- Helped the team deliver their vision and embed change though a Team Insights reflective process, and follow up workshops
- Ongoing 1:1 coaching with the team leader to provide strategic thought partnership and support
- Focused individual coaching with five team members to unlock clarity, confidence, and personal leadership growth
Results
The client reported increased confidence, with individuals stepping into leadership with greater intentionality
- Bolder, more open communication and collaboration across the team including stronger connections with colleagues across functions
